Criminal Justice IT

Situation

Criminal Justice IT (CJIT) wanted a 'Virtual Case File': a key element in achieving a 'joined-up' Criminal Justice System. CJIT want the system to enable criminal justice organisations to share electronic case information and allow victims and witnesses to track relevant case details.

Solution

Charteris worked with CJIT and Microsoft to deliver a prototype that went into operation earlier this year. Because of the success of this prototype CJIT have committed to developing the next phase of systems, which Charteris are again working on with CJIT and Microsoft to achieve delivery of the next stage against a further set of challenging timescales.

John Wailing, Head of CJIT Technical Design, said "Throughout we have been impressed by Charteris commitment to results, and look forward to working together through to completion."
