KCI International are a global corporation that develops, markets and services a broad range of innovative healing systems for the health industry.

In 2002 KCI International embarked on a major strategic review of their international IT offering in order to facilitate synergies between the international divisions and to further develop and enhance their offering into the market. The President of KCI International wanted to ensure that the current IT solutions were capable of achieving the competitive edge suitable for taking the company into the future.

Charteris Role

Our work included:

  • Providing mentoring to Senior Management Team
  • Mapping out KCI International organisational objectives
  • Mapping out detailed business requirements for solution analysis
  • Analysing the current IT solutions within the international organisation in relation to the detailed business requirements to provide a detailed baseline of current capability
  • Developing a focused action plan of how the organisation could leverage IT to support their current and future business objectives

During 2002 a Charteris consultancy team worked closely with the International Senior Management Team in order to review the KCI business objectives and to analyse the current IT offering in supporting and delivering to these objectives.

Solution

Charteris delivered a strategic action plan detailing the approach to IT for short term capability and long term positioning, leveraging IT to further support their future business objectives.
