To conceive, design and implement a highly scaleable web-based application to record survey results.
Situation
Kaisen Consulting Limited is a leading consultancy firm that uses psychology to improve their clients business performance. One of their regular assignments is the implementation of company-wide surveys for clients, including the gathering of responses and the presentation of survey results. These surveys were traditionally paper-based, but an increasing number of organisations now wish to move to an on-line web-based application.
Charteris Role
Charteris have considerable experience in developing highly scaleable web applications. In this case, Charteris helped Kaisen Consulting to design a web-based application that reproduced the functionality of their paper survey results, but in an on-line manner. Charteris were also responsible for the development and deployment of the application for Kaisen Consulting.
Solution
Charteris provided resource to Kaisen to help them to architect a scaleable system for providing survey results to clients. We conceived a flexible and scaleable solution based on Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, XML, XSL and Visual Basic. We also designed, developed and implemented the application. The survey results application has been used very successfully by Kaisen Consulting. The system has presented over one thousand reports allowing the user to drill down to individual teams.
