Red Bee Media
Situation:
Red Bee Media, formerly known as BBC Broadcast and recently acquired by Macquarie Bank, offers the complete range of services required to promote, playout and provide access to broadcast digital content across all media, from TV to mobile phones. The company’s fusion of creative origination and management of digital assets is made possible by its state-of-the-art Broadcast Centre in West London.
Charteris’ role:
An existing service agreement was in place between Red Bee Media and the BBC for the continued provision of certain business critical back office support functions until the end of April 2006, after which Red Bee Media had to have in place its own business systems and processes for finance, purchasing, human resources and payroll. Charteris was appointed to project manage the implementation of this programme.
Solution:
Charteris successfully programme managed the procurement, implementation and migration to a new technology platform for the finance, procurement, human resources and payroll departments within the business. This was achieved against demanding timescales and the new platform went operational at the beginning of May 2006 as planned.
