Scottish Developers Web Security Conference
Two leading internet security specialists from business and IT consultancy Charteris will be speaking at the Web Security one-day conference being held Thursday, April 12 2007 in Edinburgh and organised by Scottish Developers.
The two specialists, Barry Dorrans and Chris Seary, who will between them deliver five presentations, together have more than eighteen years of experience in internet security.
Barry Dorrans will be speaking on three subjects: state-of-the-art techniques for defending your websites against hacking; securing applications and comunications in ASP.NET; and will also be giving an introduction to Windows Cardspace, the Microsoft-developed framework that uniquely stores people's digital identities.
Chris Seary will be delivering presentations on Code Access Security and on securing web services.
The Web Security one-day conference is being held at Microsoft Edinburgh's head office, 127 George Street, Edinburgh, from 09.00 to 18.30. Registration starts at 08.45. People wishing to attend should email john@scottishdevelopers.com. The event is open to all.
